We're pleased to announce that we are now offering some excellent books from other publishers for sale through our website.

Free books for your clever greywater title, good photos, systems

We're doing another major overhaul of our greywater books. We'll send at least one free book to anyone who sends us photos, a system example or clever new title that we use. In particular we're looking for real good cover photos. See Ecological design photos wanted for more info.

April 22 Workshop: Turning Water Scarcity into Water Abundance

Rain harvesting guru Brad Lancaster will join local ecological systems designer Art Ludwig to show how to actualize the potential of your landscape and neighborhood for rain and greywater harvesting.  Simple site assessment tools for the home, plus multiple-use water-harvesting earthworks, will be constructed in this hands-on event. Santa Barbara City College Earth and Biological Science Building, Room EBS 309, Saturday, April 22, 10 AM-2 PM. Wear work clothes. Lunch available for purchase.

April 28-30 Zaca Lake Retreat

ECOLOGY, ART AND ACTIVISM: AN INTERGENERATIONAL CELEBRATION OF SUSTAINABILITY.

I'll be presenting at Zaca again this year, on Living Well on Almost Nothing and Understanding Water.

A gathering of some of the leading eco-spiritual thinkers / artists / activists / writers of our time, including John Seed, Vandana Shiva, Tom Hayden, Ernest Callenbach, Elisabet Sahtouris, Satish Kumar, Jay Harman, Adam Wolpert, Michael Green, for three days of exploratory discussion, reflection and celebration. In addition, delicious organic, vegetarian/vegan meals will be served throughout the retreat to make the weekend an event not to be missed!

Google Earth If you haven't checked this out, you should. Topographic and satellite image coverage of the entire globe. Quite amazing—I was able to retrace routes of my bike travels around the Pacific, Europe and North Africa, from a unique, aerial perspective. This tool will surly accelerate change, both good and bad.
